Activatedcarbon particles derived from sustainably grown coconut shells are embeddedinto COCONATM fibers, providing the wearer with three functionaladvantages: 1.UV protection: Harmful UVA and UVB rays are absorbed, giving COCONATM fabricsa sun protection factor of 50+. 2.Odor reduction: Odor molecules are trapped by the pores in the activatedcarbon. The OAV value(odor absorption value)as measured by the Americanstandard has earned the highest rating of very good. 3.Evaporative cooling: Activated carbon particles within the fabric absorb sweatand distribute it over a large surface area. Sweat moisture evaporates up to50% faster than in conventional PES fabrics.
